How people identify their gender is changing, and as a society, we are recognizing the importance of respecting a person’s gender identity. Many of our staff members grew up in an era when there were only two genders today there are over 60 different terms used, many of us are unfamiliar with them and their meaning.
This training is to help our staff understand gender diversity, the proper language to use to show respect for the gender identity of others, and to create a welcoming atmosphere for people of all backgrounds. This training course is not intended to be all-encompassing, it is intended to be a start; an additional course will be offered soon.
